I am so glad that I got to spend so much time with Mr. Abbot when I lived in Roanoke as a student at National Business College. He was a wonderful and very special person in my life.

Mr. Abbott was a man who made a tremendous difference in my life over a three year period when I studied and lived in Roanoke (VA.) I was just 18 years old when I met Mr. Abbott. Today, I'm 52. Thornton and Creasy Drugstore was where I worked. I made many deliveries in many parts of the Roanoke Valley for his pharmacy, ate regularly at the counter and received sage advice from Mr. Abbott daily (as he knew I needed it!.) :-) I am fortunate to have spoken with him in recent years. I got the chance to thank him for what was a most meaningful moment in my life. Now, I thank, GOD, for having placed him in my pathway on my life's journey to the bridge he just crossed. Rest in peace, Mr. Abbott. For sure, sir, you left the world better than the way you found it.

I worked with Tom in the Super x days and then was lucky enough to work with him again at National Diabetic Pharmacy. He was one in a million and my life was enriched by knowing him. Prayers to the family.

Tom was a great mentor to me at National Diabetic Pharmacies, he will be missed by so many people. It was an honor to have known and worked with him, such a joy to see his smiling face in the mornings to start our day. He would give me a peppermint patty and say "here, looks like you could use this" knowing I was having a tough day. Bless the entire family and I am truly sorry for your loss. Kathy McDaniel

Carol, Michael and Aunt Josephine,
What a beautiful tribute for Uncle Tommy. It was so wonderful to have him for 90 years. I have so many fond memories of him when I was a child and through the years. I was so glad to see him as recently as this past May. Our prayers are with you and your family. Carlisle and I will be in Roanoke Friday afternoon and will call you when we arrive. I hope Aunt Josephine is okay.
Love,
Linda
