Yesterday

Tracy was my Dorothy Parker... beautiful with a sharp and abundant wit. She loved to play with language, and she had her own extensive personal lexicon. (I was "Joedy", not "Joel".)

She would tell stories with a bit of flair, making her great company at gatherings of family and friends.

She would pose playfully with her hand on her chin as she contemplated a new apartment or a room arrangement, then expound with a remarkable vision of the possibilities.

She loved the beach... she loved Sting... she loved driving neighborhoods to look at houses... she loved TV shows about food preparation and house renovations... and she loved to talk and visit with her mother Sharon.

I was out of her life when she passed away, but the news that she has died at the age of 52 is devastating. I am grieving the far-too-early loss of my "Tracedy".

My heart goes out to Sharon, Mark and Debbie for losing their amazing daughter
