Mary Turner Goudelock Phillips

Mary G. Phillips ANDERSON, S.C. - Mary Turner Goudelock Phillips, 90, widow of William Roy "Bill" Phillips Jr., died Thursday, June 4, 2015, at the Rainey Hospice House. Born in Hartsville, S.C., she was the daughter of the late George Whitlock and May Smith Goudelock. She was a graduate of Winthrop University. Mrs. Phillips was active in many social and civic organizations. She was a charter member of Trinity United Methodist Church. Survivors include two sons, W. Roy Phillips III and wife, Susan of Greenville and Dr. John G. Phillips and wife, Judy of Rock Hill; one daughter, Jean P. Ridley and husband, Steve of Anderson; six grandchildren, Phillips Steven Ridley (Jessica), Allison Ridley Wallace (Erik), Anna Phillips Green (Logan), McRae Phillips Hogan (Thomas), Evan Matthew Phillips and Stuart Alexander Phillips and three great grandchildren, Amelia Turner Green, Lucy Campbell Hogan and Stevie Lynn Ridley. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at Trinity United Methodist Church. The family will receive friends at the church following the service.
