Walter Trump Obituary
December 18, 2025
Walter T. Trump, 77, of Roanoke, Va., went to be with the Lord on Thursday, December 18, 2025.
He attended Hollins Road Baptist Church and was a Veteran of the United States Army where he served in the Vietnam War receiving a Purple Heart from injuries sustained in Vietnam.
Walter was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Josephine Trump; one brother, Curtis; and two sisters, Betty and Margaret.
He is survived by two sisters and brothers-in-law, Ruby Overstreet (Joe), Linda Hamblin (Scott); his faithful companion, Kirby; and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, December 22, 2025, at Oakey's North Chapel with Pastor Mark Washington officiating. Interment will follow in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park with Military Honors by the U.S. Army. The family will receive friends on Sunday, December 21, 2025, from 2 to 5 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the local DAV Chapter. Condolences may be shared with his family at www.Oakeys.com.
