William G Bryant (Bill), 88, of Roanoke, Virginia (affectionately known by many of his friends as "Butter") passed away peacefully on April 8, 2024.
He was born on April 27,1935 in Buchanan, Virginia. He was pre-deceased by his parents (H.G. Bryant and Lucille Bryant); and his sister (Virginia Pope). He is survived by two sisters, Patsy Ward and Bonnie Hale; his two children, Debbie Bryant (John Cirello) and Randy Bryant (Laura Bryant); and his two grandsons, Shane Bryant and Ian Bryant.
He graduated from William Fleming High School in 1954. He served briefly in the US Army Reserves and worked in a variety of jobs during his life including several in the food sales/brokerage industry. Bill was an independent spirit with an outgoing personality who loved sports. He played both basketball and football in High School and was an avid golfer for many years after high school.
Services will be held Sunday, April 14, 2024 at 2 p.m. at Simpson Funeral Home Peters Creek Chapel. The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to service time.
