William G. "Punk" Lane, 94, of Salem, Va., passed away on Friday, September 26, 2025. Visitation from 1 to 2 p.m. on Tuesday, September 30, 2025, with the funeral service to begin at 2 p.m., both at Oakey's South Chapel. Burial to follow at Sherwood Memorial Park.

We loved Punk. Being a neighbor for many many years of Punk and Peg, they are amazing folks. Punk loved scaring the kids on Halloween. He had so much fun on that patio for so many years. He had to take his costume off a couple times for my kids because they didnt believe that Punk would scare them. He will be greatly missed. We love you Peg, and will always hold fond memories of you both.
