BELTON LOCKLEAR JR.
LUMBERTON — Mr. Belton Locklear Jr., 72, of 19 Ponk Circle, Lumberton, passed away on Sept. 20, 2021, at First Health Moore Regional Hospital.
Belton was born Sept. 24, 1949, to the late Belton Locklear Sr. and Aline Locklear of Lumberton.
He was preceded in death by both his parents; two sisters, Joyce Locklear, and Artis Scott; two brothers, Fletcher Locklear, and Frank Godwin; and a son, Bobby Jo Locklear.
He is survived by his wife, Vickie T. Locklear of 32 years; his beloved children, Terri L. Lowry (Phillip) of Lumberton, Mary L. Locklear (Gary) of Lumberton, Amy Hammonds of Lumberton, Thomas Santee of Orrum, Victoria Locklear (Carey), and Brittany Locklear of Lumberton; a sister, Therly Mae Scott of Lumberton; 12 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; lifelong friends, Joe Carter, David Earl Thomas, and Robert Lowery; and a host of relatives and friends.
Belton was retired, he enjoyed doing handy man activities, and working in his garden. He also enjoyed being with his family, friends and watching NASCAR racing.
The funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday at Revels Funeral Home Lumberton. Burial will follow at Oxendine Cemetery on Rennert Road. The family will receive friends from 2 to 3 p.m. Sunday at Revels Funeral Home Lumberton, prior to the funeral.
