Betty Rose Pridgen Rogers

Betty Rose Pridgen Rogers, wife of the late Neil Rogers, age 91, of Lumberton, passed away on Thursday, Dec. 4, 2025, at Liberty Commons Nursing Center in Whiteville, N.C. She was born in Robeson County on Oct. 14, 1934 to the late Gaston Pridgen, Sr. and Eva Sessoms Pridgen.

She is survived by her children, Richard Rogers and Patricia Hasty (Gene); a daughter-in-law, Leesa Rogers; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; two brothers, G.L. Pridgen, Jr. (Wendy) and Larry Pridgen (Rachel); and two sisters, Carolyn McLean (Vernon) and Judy Bullard.

The family will receive friends and loved ones prior to the service on Monday, Dec. 8, 2025, from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. at Singletary Baptist Church, 4061 Singletary Church Road in Lumberton. Following the visitation, a funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. with Rev. Josh West and Rev. Roger Coffey officiating. Burial will follow in the church's cemetery.
