Bobbie K. Arrington
Mrs. Bobbie K. Arrington, age 89, passed away peacefully on Sunday, Oct. 19, 2025, at her residence after an extended illness.
Born in Lumberton on Aug. 18, 1936, Bobbie was the daughter of the late Durham King and Cammie Lou Hayes. She lived in Rowland with her family and attended Ashpole Presbyterian Church until 1982. Bobbie began working as Branch Manager of First Citizens Bank at South of the Border in 1973. She moved to Dillon and married the late O.B. (Ben) Arrington, Jr. in 1984. After retiring from First Citizens Bank in 1995, Bobbie and Ben relocated to Cherry Grove, North Myrtle Beach, and spent many wonderful years there. She worked for several years as a realtor after obtaining her N.C. and S.C. Realtor's license. Bobbie also worked for Boulineau's Ocean Treasures Gift Shop until 2021, where she loved talking to old and new friends that visited Cherry Grove.
Bobbie was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and her son, William (Bill) Gilbert Bracey, Jr.
Bobbie is survived by her daughter, Angela B. Sports (Angie) and husband Jim of Dillon; sister, Jean Williams of North Myrtle Beach; grandson, Bracey Sports and fiancé Kristan Roberts of Dillon; granddaughter, Sara S. Alex of Dillon; great-grandson, Parker Sports and fiancé Danielle Thomas of Florence and great-granddaughters, Addison Culclasure and Ansleigh Alex, both of Dillon; stepson, O.B. (Ben) Arrington, III and wife Georgia of Florence; her Dachshund fur baby, Sissy Harrelson; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A graveside memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 24, 2025, at Ashpole Presbyterian Church in Rowland, directed by Cooper Funeral Home with the Reverend Henry Altman officiating. The family will begin to receive friends a half hour prior to the service at the cemetery.
