The funeral will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday at Floyd Funeral Services Chapel, the Revs. Terry Dove and Bruce Thompson officiating. Burial will follow in Floyd Memorial Cemetery in Fairmont.

The visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m. today at Floyd Funeral Services in Fairmont.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Curtis Green Strickland and Minnie Thelma Meares; a brother, Gary Talmedge Strickland; and a sister, Mary Ann Strickland Williamson.

He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Rebecca Connor Strickland of the home; a son, Curtis Franklin Strickland Jr. of Fairmont; three daughters, Debra Strickland Leggett (Alan), Rhonda Stickland Thompson (Bruce), and Louise Strickland Grier(Mitch), all of Fairmont; two brothers, Lloyd Gerald Strickland (Beth) of Chadbourn and William Jetter Strickland (Glenda) of Springfield, S.C.; six grandchildren, "Tripp" Strickland, Al Leggett, Jud Leggett, David Thompson, Leslie Heasley, and Ashley Grier; seven great-grandchildren.
