EVELENE HARDIN Obituary
EVELENE FREEMAN HARDIN
LUMBERTON — Evelene Freeman Hardin, 82, of Lumberton, died Sunday, Sept. 19, 2021, at Woodhaven Nursing Facility in Lumberton.
She was born in Robeson County on June 9, 1939. She was a graduate of Orrum High School and she was formerly a longtime employee of Gerber Childrenwear. She was also a lifetime member and Sunday school teacher at Long Branch Full Gospel Church.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Florence Freeman; and her husband, Willie Graham "Buddy" Hardin.
She is survived by two sons, Graham Keith Hardin (Kimberly Spear), and Randy Kelvin Hardin (Lisa), all of Lumberton; a daughter, Joy Davidson of Lumberton; and five grandchildren, Travis Hardin (Jesse), William Hardin, Ben Hardin, Ryan Prevatte, and Christina Prevatte.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, Sept. 24, 2021, at 1 p.m. at Floyd Memory Gardens, 3720 Old Whiteville Road in Lumberton, with Rev. Russell Kinlaw Sr. and Rev. Russell Kinlaw Jr. officiating. The visitation will follow the service at the cemetery.

Mrs Evelene was a true Christian woman who is happily in her forever home! I believe she looked forward to this journey because she knew she would get to look into the face of her Savior and Lord! She prepared for this trip her entire life, never wavering from her faith and trust in Christ!

It was an Honor of mine to have Ms Evelene in the Woodhaven Bible Study every 2 weeks! I would ask Her “ Do You have a Prayer to open Bible Study & She would Pray a Heart Touching Prayer!” Many times She would Testify & Really move the People! Sometimes I would say do You have a Prayer to close Service & immediately She would Grin, Smile & start Praying a Beautiful Prayer that reached the Throne Room of Heaven! She will be Greatly Missed by All!
