I Rember Mr. Huggins all to well, when I was 17 years old my mom and dad and mom went through a divorce. me and mom and my brother went through some hard times due to the divorce. but we where needing a home to rent and mom came across one of Mr. Huggins apartments for rent.so long story short Mr Huggins would come by monthly to collect rent, and he would always share the Gospel with my family at the time none of us new Christ as our personal savoir. but he planted a seed in all our lives and there was times mom could not meet her Rent, and he would tell my mom not to worry about it this happen several times due to our situation but Mr. Huggins just didn't just tell us about Christ he showed us Christ in the life he lived. And today I can say we all are saved and serving God to the fullest and not only that I, now a GC and own my own company, and now I have rentals and it's amazing that I just went on line tonight and seen the memo of rembering Mr.Huggins and just this week i told one of my Tenants not to worry about December payment due to the tenant loosing her job its like now im blessing people the way Mr. Huggins bless us, So to the family of Mr. Huggins just know what a might man of God he was I could say more about Mr. Huggins but I want due to time but just know he was a light in this dark world thank you Jeffey Locklear

Johnnie was my father's best friend and always used to tell me that "they don't 'em any better." My dad was right. Uncle Johnnie was a great person, was always there to listen, and certainly got my family through many tough times. He was a great guy and will surely be missed. My thoughts and prayers are with the family. "Lock" and "Folly" (if I got their nicknames correct)can now catch up on old times together up above.

On behalf of Steve Schaeman, our love, thoughts and prayers go out to Linda, Little Johnnie, Harriet, Bryan and their extended families. Steve used to have tears in his eyes whenever he spoke of Johnnie... .....and Carolina. Steve and Johnnie were lifelong friends. Johnnie was(is) a saint.....his prayers got our family through many crises. Steve always said that Johnnie was "the finest man to ever walk this earth." I thought the same and he sure was easy on the eyes. Arlene

He was a really sweet man who I shall miss seeing at the hospital witnessing for the Lord. He was my patient and I so hated to see him so sick. May God be with the family and give them strength during this loss.

He was a good man and the world is poorer without him in it. I rented my first apartment from him and he helped me get my second one. -- Jean Sexton (Amarillo, TX)

I knew Johnny from Living Faith Church and knew him to be a man of faith. One day I was having tests done at Southeastern Medical center and was told my pancrease was enlarged and I would have to go to Duke for further tests. As I was leaving the Lumberton hospital with this information I saw Johnny approaching from the other direction. I immediately thanked God and told Johnny what was going on and asked him to pray for me right there in the hospital hallway. I went to Duke for further tests and they found absolutely nothing wrong. Johnny has gone home. Sympathies to his family.

Johnny was the most kindest person I've ever met. I loved him dearly. I am very hurt over his passing, but I know without a shadow of doubt, he is in heaven. If I ever needed a friend to listen, or someone to comfort me, Johnny would be the only one I could think of to go to. He never judged. He only expressed love for all people, and was very concerned about their soul. He wanted to make sure his friends knew about Jesus. He set a great example for all Christians, and all people to live by. He was always willing to take the time to pray for our needs. May all his family and friend be comforted. I will miss his so very, very much.
