Linda Faye Locklear Parnell
Mrs. Linda Faye Locklear Parnell, 68, of Lumberton, gained her wings on Sunday, Nov. 16, 2025 around 8 p.m. She was born Feb. 23, 1957 to the late Ray Titus and late Mary Jackson Locklear.
In addition to her parents, Linda is preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Parnell; son, Dwayne Parnell and four brothers, Tamper C. Locklear, Kenneth Ray Locklear, Bobby Dean Locklear and David Floyd Locklear.
She leaves to cherish her memory two daughters; Tonya Deese (Shawn) and Alison C. Parnell; four brothers, Ronnie Locklear (Kathy Colberg), Odis Locklear, Brady Locklear and Orpal Locklear; one sister, Wanda K. Locklear (James Daniels); one daughter-in-law, Heather Haggins; eight grandchildren, Sean Cameron Deese (Mariah), Destini Deese, Bryton Deese, Jakobe Brewer (Whitney), Jalin Dwayne Parnell and Jasiah Parnell; two special grandchildren she helped raise, Aaron and Airyana Parnell; three great-grandchildren, Aynslee Lowry, Callen Rae Deese and Nyla McNeill; she is also survived by her loving friend and caregiver, Mr. Woodrow Locklear and a host of nieces and nephews.
Mama loved to work in her yard, plant flowers and loved watching hummingbirds. She loved her family but Aaron and Airyana had a special place in her heart.
A graveside service was held Thursday, Nov. 20 at Great Marsh Baptist Church in St. Pauls. Pastor Sanford Chavis was the officiant.
