TRACY LOWERY SR.
LUMBERTON — Mr. Tracy Lowery, Sr., 56, of 133 Iner's Drive, Lumberton, passed away on June 29, 2017.
He was born in Robeson County, N.C., on March 22, 1961, to Mr. Bob Glen Lowery and the late Mrs. Shirley Lowery.
He is preceded in death by Ms. Gala Ann Lowery, his first wife and the mother of his two sons; his brother, Bobby Lynn Lowery; and his beloved son, Tracy Lowery, Jr.
Mr. Tracy Lowery leaves to cherish his memories and continue with the Lowery's legacy, a son, Patrick Dwayne Lowery (Shana) of Lumberton; his nephew of whom he loved like his own son, Dustin C. Lowery (Catisha) of Pembroke; stepchildren, Colissa Jacobs, Misty Hammonds of Pembroke and Keisha Jones of Fayetteville, and June Lloyd Locklear and Joseph Locklear of Lumberton; eight grandchildren, Tracy Lowery III, Nicholas Lowery, Landon Lowery, Dillon Lowery, Timothy Lowery, Tala Lowery, Jada Hunt and Haylee Jacobs; special daughter-in-law, Amanda Woods Lowery.
He is also survived by his second wife, Ms. Libby L. lowery and his current wife Patsy Oxendine Lowery; brothers, Lacy Lowery, Carson Lowery (Brenda), Timothy Lowery (Loretta), and David Lowery, all of Lumberton; his only loving sister, Shirlene Demery (Frankie) of Pembroke; and his special baby "Little Ga" Yorkie.
During his lifetime it was an honor for him to partnership and serve along with his brother Carson Lowery for the past 30 years in the business of Lowery's Used Car's and Body Shop. His favorite things in life were his old cars, Harley Davidson, engineering, cooking, dancing and building structures. He was always the center of everyone's attention and the "Flashiest" one in the room.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at Evergreen Holiness Church with the Rev. Jimmy Strickland, Rev. Nicholas McNeill and Rev. Kip Woods officiating. Burial will follow in the Lowery Family Cemetery on Evergreen Church Road, Lumberton.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 Sunday evening at Revels Funeral Home Lumberton.
