Michael Weger Obituary
Mike graduated from Robinson High School in 1966 and spent four years serving his country in the US Navy aboard the USS America. After his release from the Navy, Mike was hired by California Division of Forestry, later renamed CalFire. He retired after 35 years of service, ending his career as a fire investigator. While employed by CDF, Mike also continued his education and obtained his college degree in Fire Science.
After two years of retirement and fighting some health issues, Mike started Weger Fire Investigations. He was definitely in his element! After sending Matt to several investigation courses and training extensively under Mike's direction, Matt was hired. These were happy times for both Mike and Matt.
Mike spent the last few years of his life living on a golf course in Kerrville, Texas. Mike and Julie traveled and enjoyed many weekends watching their grandson Max play baseball. Life was really good and Mike appreciated every new adventure.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Visalia Country Club on June 19, 2025 at 10:30 a.m. followed by a luncheon. If you plan on attending, please text Julie at [email protected]. Come and share stories about Mike!
