Dennis LeRoy Milliken, Rochester, passed away in Mishawaka with his family by his side on Feb. 27, 2022. He was 80 years old.
Denny was born to the late Norman LeRoy Milliken and Mavis June (Hayes) Slazewski on May 1, 1941 in South Bend.
Denny is survived by his wife of more than 61 years, Janice; daughters Lisa (Jerry) Porter and Tina (Ken Campbell) Wrzesien; sisters Donna Mahaffy and Jackie Lahiff; 9 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
Denny served in the U.S. Army from September 1959 to September 1961. He served in the Korean War and at Fort Riley Kan.. He married Janice Solloway in June of 1960. She was his queen and everything he did was for her and their family.
After serving, Denny worked at Studebaker and went on to work 35 years at Raco Hubbel. Once retired, he delivered campers around the country.
Denny was a 1993 Bassmaster's Nationals contestant, which he was a member of, and a proud member of the VFW post 357. He also served as a volunteer fireman for Portage Township in the 70s.
Denny enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, and riding his Harley and was a member of the Blue Knights. He would also give his grandchildren rides on his motorcycle and ride his bike to little Sturgis. He was given the nickname 'Hogger' back when he rode a lot and was always known as "Dennis the Menace."
Denny loved his family and has left a hole that can never be filled.
A Memorial Service for Denny will take place Saturday, March 12, 2022 at 11 a.m., at Monson Chapel United Methodist Church, 24172 SR 2, South Bend, IN 46619.

My thoughts and prayers to the family Dear popp I will forever cherish your leather head band you wore for yrs on many rides on your Harley a precious gift for my 40th birthday I will miss all the hard times we gave each other through many yrs thank you for allways treating me as one of your own may you float on the best lakes get the biggest catch and ride on those golden streets till we meet again behave your self see you at the pearly gates love you popps.
