Jon Ruble Obituary
Jon A. Ruble, 76, Akron, passed away at 1:40 p.m. Monday, Dec. 14, 2023, at Peabody Retirement Community, North Manchester.
He was born Jan. 28, 1947 in Marion, the son of James and Lois (Lewis) Ruble Jr. Jon proudly joined the United States Marine Corps, serving in the Vietnam War. On April 1, 1978, in Huntington, he married Peggy (Palmer) Ruble and she survives.
Jon worked as a salesman in various industries including recently promoting bowling advertising. Previously, Jon had been a tool route distributor, as well as owning his own bar and convenient store. Jon was a member of the American Legion.
Survivors include his wife, Peggy Ruble, Warren; step-children Rab Miller, Huntington, Ange Miller Warren; brother William Ruble, Hamilton, Ohio; sisters Karen Burton, Palm Desert, Calif., Jayne Ruble, Erlanger, Ken., and Patty Teder, Upland.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
No services are scheduled at this time. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association. Arrangements are by Zimmerman Bros. Funeral Home, Rochester. Online condolences may be expressed at www.zimmermanbrosfh.com.
