Thomas D. Grosvenor, 71, Rochester, passed away at 4:22 p.m. Friday, July 29, 2022, in Muncie.
He was born Nov. 13, 1950 in Goshen, the son of Calvin I. and Donna Jean (Cretcher) Grosvenor Metheny. On Aug. 4, 1979, in Rochester, he married Valerie J. Tyler. She survives.
Tom started working full time for his father at Rochester Cement Products following high school. He was currently owner/operator of Rochester Cement Products. He had been a member of The Elk's Lodge, Moose Lodge, Eagles Lodge, Trinity United Methodist Church and had served in the Indiana National Guard. He enjoyed gardening and his daily crossword puzzles. Tom was his grandkids' biggest fan. Whether it was softball, volleyball, tennis, swimming, T-ball or pony league baseball he never missed any of their sporting events.
Survivors include his wife, Valerie J. Grosvenor, Rochester; children Kari Grosvenor, Rochester, Trevor (Kaleigh Collins) Grosvenor, Rochester; grandchildren Kori Rouch, Rochester, Ryli Rouch, Rochester, Gent Grosvenor, Rochester, Doc Grosvenor, Rochester; brother, Timothy (Lynn) Grosvenor, Rochester; sisters Debby (Lonnie Evans) Grosvenor, Logansport, Peg Howell, Rochester; mother-in-law, Sandy Tyler, Rochester; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Janice G. Grosvenor, and father-in-law Paul Tyler.
A celebration of life will be announced at a later date. Arrangements are by Zimmerman Bros. Funeral Home, Rochester. Memorial contributions may be made to the Thomas Grosvenor Memorial Fund through Northern Indiana Community Foundation. Online condolences may be expressed at www.zimmer manbrosfh.com.

Though I did not know Tom, I know Val as she was good friends with my Mom, Gayle. My sincere condolences to Val and the rest of Tom's family for this sudden tragic loss.

My memory of Tom is when he and his brother were with the Jaycees They would drive us around with their tank truck delivering sand boxes , old tractor tires and sand, to children every spring RIP Thomas you are a good sole
