Beverley Stewart Obituary

Beverly Ann Stewart, a beacon of love and faith, passed away peacefully on September 29, 2025, in Social Circle, Georgia. Born on January 4, 1932, in Phenix City, Alabama, to the late Leon and Annie Pearl (Hearn) Reese. Beverly is preceded in death by her loving husband, Charles Donald (Don) Stewart, her son Pat Stewart, her daughter Kelly Stewart, and her brothers, Leon (Sonny) Reese, Jimmy Reese, and Mike Reese. Her former years were a testament to the strong family bonds that she would carry with her throughout her life. Beverly lived a life marked by devotion to her family, her church, and her community. Her gentle spirit and thoughtful nature left an indelible mark on all who knew her.

After completing her studies in nursing, Beverly dedicated her career to caring for others. Her late employment where she retired from was Westbury Nursing Home in Conyers, Georgia, where she served with compassion and grace. Her commitment to helping those in need reflected her faith-filled heart.

Beverly was a longtime member of Salem United Methodist Church, where she strengthened her faith, sang in the choir, and formed lifelong friendships since 1974. Her love for her Lord and Savior was the cornerstone of her existence and shone brightly in her every action.

A thoughtful soul, Beverly, cherished the art of sending out cards. Whether to celebrate a milestone or offer words of comfort, her messages were a source of warmth and kindness. Beverly's love for family and friends was tangible, as she expressed it through cooking, a hobby she delighted in, especially when it brought her loved ones together.

Her interests were diverse and heartfelt. Beverly relished the excitement of college football Saturdays, the creativity of making ceramics, and the joy of shopping for others. In her later years, she embraced the tranquility of adult coloring books and the pleasure of feeding the birds and other animals that visited her home.

Beverly's legacy continues through her son, Greg Stewart of Eatonton, GA; her daughter and son-in-law, Stacey (Craig) Lowe of Jackson, GA; her adoring grandchildren and their spouses, Riley (Ricki) Stewart, Sydney (Ken) Barre, Ansley (Dustin) Woods, Patrick (Jordan) Stewart, , Toni Lowe, Reese Lowe, and Fisher Lowe; and her precious great-grandchildren, Russell Stewart, Rhett Stewart, Lilly Jean Barre, Marc Barre, Marigold Woods, and Hank Stewart, with two more on the way. She also leaves behind several nieces, nephews, and cousins, who will cherish her memory.

Services for Beverly were held on Friday, October 3, 2025, at 11:00 am at Salem United Methodist Church in Covington with Carol Standard officiating. Burial followed at Salem Historical Cemetery, Covington, GA.

Flowers are accepted or donations may be made to the Salem United Methodist Church 3962 Salem Road, Covington, GA 30016 or Salem Historical Cemetery, 60 Shoals Creek Road, Covington, GA 30016
