Laura Brown Obituary

Laura Jeanette Brown, age 74, passed away peacefully on April 6, 2023 at Abbey Hospice in Social Circle, Georgia. She was born January 11, 1949 in Bessemer, Alabama, but spent most of her young life in Adamsville, Alabama and had lived in Georgia since the age of 16. Jeanette found the most joy in spending time with her family. She loved being near the ocean. Her favorite memories were of her time in Sarasota, Florida and at her beach house in Horseshoe Beach, Florida.

Jeanette was preceded in death by her parents, Leroy and Frances Hall. She is survived by her brother, Charles Hall, and sisters Shirley Hall Windham Taylor and Tammy Hall Parker; ex-husband Marvin Brown; sons David Brown of Conyers, John (Susie) Brown of Madison, GA and Bill Brown of Santa Clara, CA; grandchildren Jason Brown, Daniel Brown, Chris Brown, and Ryan Brown; great grandchildren Addison Brown, Jadon Brown, Sarah Jane Brown, Heidi Brown, Jack Brown and Eliza Brown.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, April 29, 2023 from 2:00-5:00pm at the home of Mike and Shirley Taylor, 60 Radcliffe Trace, Covington, GA 30016. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Abbey Hospice, P.O.Box 68, Social Circle, GA, 30025-0068.
