Alice Durham Obituary
WILSON - Alice Marie Durham, 87, resident of Wilson Pines Center, passed away Tuesday.
A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday in Evergreen Memorial Park, Wilson. The Rev. Mike Wells and Rev. Danny Harris will officiate. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6 - 8 p.m. at Joyner's Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson.
Marie is survived by her sons, Dan Durham and wife, Peggy of Elm City, Gary Durham and wife, Ann of Elm City, and Shelton Durham and wife, Angela of Rocky Mount; grandchildren, Steven, Michael, Melissa, Michelle, Dale, Kellie, and Kimberly; her great-grandchildren, Dylan, Mackenzie, Payton, and Keagan, and her daughter-in-law, Nancy Durham of Sharpsburg.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Guy Durham; son, Allen Durham; her parents, Wilbert and Mary Jones, sister, Lela Mae "Sis" Winstead, and brothers, Edward "Buddy" Jones, and Luther "Luke" Jones.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorials in Marie's name to Community Hospice Care of Wilson, 2841 Daisy Lane, Wilson, North Carolina 27896, or Alzheimer's Association of North Carolina, 1305 Navaho Drive, Suite 101, Raleigh, North Carolina 27609.
