Edward Alan Joyner

NASHVILLE - Edward Alan Joyner, 49, died Saturday, April 1, 2006. He was born Nov. 8, 1956, in Nash County, son of the late Clarence Staten and Hazel Brantley Joyner. Alan was always ready to go hunting and fishing and to his beloved second home, the beach. Alan received his greatest joy from his family. He loved to watch his children as they played sports. He was a loving father, husband, brother and friend. His cherished memory will live on in our hearts forever. Surviving are his wife, Yvonne Brantley Joyner; a son, Chad Alan Joyner of Greenville; a daughter, Heather Danielle Joyner of the home; a sister, Faye Tyler of Durham; a brother, Howard Staten Joyner and wife Jenny of Rocky Mount; three nephews, Paul and John Tyler of Durham and Alan Long of Apex; and two nieces, Sarah Zimmerman and Emily Long, both of Apex. We would like to express our heartfelt thanks to the family and friends for your prayers and loving support. The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, April 4, 2006, at Wheeler & Woodlief Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Pineview Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Monday and other times at the home.
