Danny Steven Wiseman

1954 - 2024

Coach Danny Steven Wiseman, age 69, of Rome, GA, entered his heavenly home on Sunday, August 25, 2024, at a local hospital.

Coach was born in Rome, GA, on October 31, 1954, son of the late Namon Wiseman and the late Juanita "Peggy" Stansell Wiseman. He was a graduate of Armuchee High School and went on to earn his undergraduate, graduate and specialist's degrees in education from Jacksonville State University. Coach spent his entire career of over 40 years as an educator, coach, and, most importantly, a mentor. Starting his career at Adairsville, his influence reached East Rome High School, Rome High School, White County High School, Pepperell Middle School, Cedartown High School, Model High School, Rockmart High School, Sonoraville High School, before finally hanging up his whistle after a stint at Hixson County High School in Hixson, TN. Coach was a trustee at Morrison Campground, a huge supporter of the FCA organization, and a member of First Baptist Church of Lindale where he was currently serving as chairman of the Deacons.

Coach's grandchildren were the light of his life. He loved nothing more when he retired than spending time with his family, especially if it involved playing with his grandchildren. Coach's happy places were Morrison Campground and his family's spot on the lake, where he delegated his duties as Captain to his grandchildren when he had the chance. He was a humble, wise, and Godly man who made it his life's mission to be a positive and Christ-like influence to anyone who he came into contact with. Coach influenced countless lives and is now rejoicing in the presence of his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, for eternity, "Love You, Bye."

Survivors include his wife of over 48 years, Anne Marie Barnes Wiseman, Rome, to whom he was married on July 31, 1976; 5 children, Andrea Buckner (Brandon), Cedartown, Bradley Wiseman (Rebekah), Rome, Ashleigh Aplis (Keith), Rockmart, Neil Wiseman (Samantha), Marietta, and Jacob Wiseman, Rome; 8 grandchildren, Finn Wiseman, Corbin Aplis, Beau Wiseman, Aubrey Buckner, Charlie Wiseman, Ezra Wiseman, Walt Wiseman, Josie Aplis, and another grandchild due in December; 3 sisters, Vicki Knight (Dan), Pam Fuller (Gayle), and Lisa Crowder (Wendell); his beloved Aunt Tee; numerous nieces and nephews.

In accordance with his wishes, Coach will be cremated and a memorial service will be held at 6pm on Thursday, August 29, 2024, at Calvary Baptist Church with his Pastor, Rev. Eric Whelchel, officiating.

The family will receive friends from 3pm until service time on Thursday at Calvary Baptist Church.
