Donald Zacharkan Obituary

Cave Spring, GA: Donald Zacharkan, 56, passed away unexpectedly on March 15, 2025. Born on April 18, 1968, in New Brunswick, New Jersey, Don was the beloved son of John and Julia (Thompson) Zacharkan.

A devoted soulmate, father, brother, and cherished friend, Don's kindness and humor left a lasting impression on everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. He worked as a delivery driver for Rome News Tribune paper company and was also a proud local farmer, known for his fresh produce and welcoming roadside stand. Don found great joy in fishing, whether on the river or the ocean, huge Giants fan, enjoyed countless hours with his close friend Jake. He was also a talented bowler, once claiming the title of champion.

Predeceased by his father John and stepmother Janice, Don is survived by his mother Julia, his soulmate Robin, his daughter Shyenne, brothers John and Ronald, sisters Tracy Nemeth, and Julie Schneider, step sons Nick and Andrew Clay as well as several grandchildren and great grandkids.

Private services in honor of his life will be held by his family in New Jersey and Florida.
