In Loving Memory of Jo Ann Ratliff Moon, April 4, 1944 - December 3, 2025.

Jo Ann Ratliff Moon, of Rome, Georgia, passed away on Wednesday, December 3, 2025, at the age of eighty-one. She entered the world on April 4, 1944, in Rome, Georgia, born to Joseph Henry Ratliff and Annie Sue Harris Ratliff, and from them inherited a quiet steadiness and devotion to family that shaped her entire life.

Jo Ann is predeceased by her beloved husband, Jesse Emory Moon, Jr., and by her parents, Joseph and Annie Sue Ratliff. She is survived by her sons, Jesse Emory Moon, III (Rebecca) and Joseph Moon(Valerie); and by her grandchildren, Bria Moon, Jackson Moon, Phoebe Anderson, Crysta Flanigan, and Rosemary Bradshaw each of whom brought her immeasurable joy and pride. Their memories of her will remain threaded with the tenderness she showed them over the years.

Jo Ann built a life marked by both diligence and care. She enjoyed a brief career while embracing the calling of homemaker, creating a household where her family felt rooted and supported. She was of the Baptist faith, carrying its comfort and teachings with her throughout her days. A 1962 graduate of Pepperell High School, Jo Ann later attended Coosa Valley Tech, where she was enrolled in the LPN program. Her compassion and dedication led her to Floyd Medical Center, where she served her community with skill and kindness.

Jo Ann's family is working through their grief as they thoughtfully plan her final arrangements. She will be interred at Oaknoll Memorial Gardens, where she will rest in the familiar soil of the place she always called home.
