Martha Swanson Obituary
Mrs. Swanson was born in Floyd County, GA, on June 18, 1940, daughter of the late Lawrence Boatner and the late Mary Lou Matthews Boatner. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Clyde Deward Swanson. Mrs. Swanson was a graduate of Pepperell High School. She retired from White Swann at the age of 70, where she worked for many years. Mrs. Swanson was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include her son, Steven Clyde Swanson; grandson, Preston Bleu Swanson; 3 sisters, Shirley Chapman, Judy Pajor (Ron), and Julie Hicks (Donny); nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held at 10am on Thursday, July 20, 2023, at Rome Memorial Park, South. The Rev. Clifford Free will officiate.
Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, South Chapel, has charge of funeral arrangements.

So sorry and surprised to see that Jean has passed away. To me, Jean had a bubbly personality and was easy to work with. Over the years she worked for me in the Greenwood Lindale Laboratory she was very dependable and pleasant to have around.

If I remember correctly growing up in lindale Jean and Clyde use to come over my parents house and play cards. Jean I believe worked at Pepperell Mill many many years ago. I think that is how my parents meet them course time went on and my parents left the mill before it closed. My prayers and thoughts are with your family. Jean was a sweet person and loved to cut up. I know she will be missed.
