Stanley Elmer Ellison

Stanley Elmer Ellison, age 69, passed away on Monday, September 26, 2022. Stanley was born on February 21, 1953, in Rome, Georgia, son of the late Elmer E. Ellison and Hazel Thompson Ellison. Stanley was a graduate of West Rome High School.

Stanley worked at Southern Railway and then Georgia Power Company/Southern Company in Forrest Park, Georgia as a Senior Transmission Specialist. During his 30 plus years tenure at Georgia Power, he worked building substations and then as Senior Transition Specialist Inspector, inspecting the building of substations, overseeing a construction crew and traveling all over the states of Georgia, Alabama, and sometimes Florida. He enjoyed his job immensely and had to retire on Disability Retirement after an accident on December 28, 2010.

He is survived by his wife Pamela Colleen Ingram-Ellison, who he married on October 10, 1991. Other survivors are his daughter Tamara "Tammy" Ellison Campbell and her two sons, Cannon Campbell, and Cooper Campbell; a son, Stanley Brandon Ellison, his wife Pamela Johnson Ellison, and their sons PFC Brandon Ellison USMC (Gage) and Austin Ellison; Trystan Searcy; godson, Matthew Ackley (Jennifer) and their sons Rylan, Caleb, and Kyler Ackley; sisters, Frances Ellison Lamar (Jim), Paulette Ellison Beard, and Virginia Ellison Lake; brothers, Leslie Ellison, Sr. (Judi), and Danny Ellison (Sandra). Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Stanley was an avid hunter and fisherman. He loved the outdoors and Mother Nature. He loved to cook and enjoyed the lake in his free time. He appreciated Tabitha Fink, Maddie and the boys, and Belinda for helping in the past year. Anytime he needed something or wanted to know something he said to call Matthew.

Funeral services will be held at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, North Chapel, on Friday, September 30, 2022, at 1:00pm with the Rev. Harold Ingram officiating.

The family will receive friends on Friday, September 30, 2022, at Henderson & Sons, Funeral Home, North Chapel, from 11am until service time.
