Alissa L. Chandler

Alissa L. Chandler, 58, of Rome, passed away on Saturday, November 22,2025 surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Rome, NY, on November 27, 1966. She graduated from MVCC with a degree in Nursing, pursuing her career in private homecare. This destined her to find the love of her life, Gregory Chandler, and the two were united in marriage on May 25, 2007.

Alissa was an incredibly gifted woman, she could create functional pieces from ordinary objects, excelling in any art form that drew her interest. Her gifts were not limited as she also excelled in cooking, baking, and gardening. She was an avid reader, often devouring dozens of books every month. Alissa had an incredible love for animals, not only her fur babies Seamus, Jaeda and Phoebe, but all creatures. Alissa was a matriarch to many, from fur to feather, and to many lost children that found their ways to her.

Surviving besides her loving husband Greg, are her three daughters Kaitlyn Stubba (Zachary), Meghan Stubba (Emmanuel), Gabrielle Blanchard, a son Adam Chandler (Alex), and her grandsons (Wyatt and Sebastian), as well as a brother Jerome Platt. Alissa is predeceased by her sister Savannah Kellogg and her grandmother Angeline Hatfield, both of whom were two people that loved her the most.

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours. Arrangements have been entrusted to Nunn and Harper Funeral Home, Inc. 418 N. George St., Rome NY 13440.
