Anna M. Dole

Anna M. Dole, 101, also known as Chauchie, formerly of Lowell Rd in Rome, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, November 27, 2025 surrounded by her family. She was a daughter of the late Mykola and Martha (Royko) Zakala. She was married to the late Hubert Dole.

Anna worked for over 40 years at Revere Copper and Brass, Co. She was a member of St. Mary's and St. Peter's Church.

She especially enjoyed blueberry picking, going to garage sales and took great pride in her garden, flowers, and lawn-but most of all, she cherished spending time with family.

Anna is survived by a sister, Helen Edwards; a special nephew and niece, Jim and Ann Marie Edwards and their children, Jessica and Colin (Chris); and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two sisters, Catherine Pelano and Mary Remick; and six brothers, Michael, Peter, Russell, Steve, John and Richard Zakala.

Anna's family would like to express their gratitude to Jackie for her wonderful care and compassion which allowed Anna to be home these last few years.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, December 3rd, at 9:00 a.m. at St. Peter's Church, 200 N. James St., Rome NY 13440. Interment will take place in Rome Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to call at Nunn and Harper Funeral Home, Inc. 418 N. George St., Rome NY 13440, on Tuesday, December 2nd, from 4-6:00 p.m.
