Candace Lee Rosenburgh

Candace Lee Rosenburgh, a longtime resident of the Utica-Rome area and most recently of Pinnacle, NC, passed away on October 28, 2023, at the Joan & Howard Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson, NC.

Candy was born on November 28, 1948, in Rome, NY, to parents Chester and Frances Rosenburgh and attended Holland Patent Schools. She lived most of her life in this area, where she enjoyed the solitude of the Adirondack foothills, fishing its pristine lakes and streams, antiquing and spending time with friends and family. Candy had a lifelong love for motorcycles, specifically the Harley Davidson. After graduating high school, Candy attended Morrisville College and served as a flight attendant for Mohawk Airlines. In later years, Candy was employed by US Airways as a reservationist at their facility at the former Oneida County Airport and then in Winston Salem, NC, until her retirement in 2015.

Candy loved her children, grandchildren and extended family. She is survived by her children, Anthony Ruffule, of West Springfield, MA, Shawn Ruffule, of Winston Salem, NC, Meagan Gaetano, of Frankfort, NY and Jeremy Ruffule, of Herkimer, NY; grandchildren, Kylie, Corey, Mckayla, Joshua, Anthony, Rocco, Julian and StellaBlue; siblings, Ed Rosenburgh, Scott Rosenburgh, Andrea Fruin-Campanaro and Bob Rosenburgh; and several loved nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her parents, Chester Rosenburgh Jr. (1989) and Frances (Guilfoil) Rosenburgh in 2004; and a daughter, Robyn Lyndsey Ruffule in 1986.

Per her wishes, there will be no calling hours. A Celebration of Candy's Life will take place, privately, with her family.
