Crystal J. Beckwith

Crystal J Beckwith, 78, of Rome, NY, passed away Friday, September 15, 2023. She was born on March 17, 1945, in Rome NY, the daughter of the late Frances and Jean Northway Shepard. Crystal grew up in Rome and graduated from RFA High School in 1963.

On June 27, 1964 she was united in marriage to Michael Beckwith in Rome, NY.

Crystal worked at the Rome Walmart from the time that it opened until her retirement. Prior to this she spent many years working for the Rome Country Club.

Crystal enjoyed playing bingo, watching her shows with Mike and enjoying time with her family.

Crystal is survived by her husband Michael; her children, Joseph (Anna) Beckwith of Camden, Linda Beckwith of Rome, Tami Beckwith (George Livermore) of Rome and Amy Beckwith (Rob Wright) of Boonville; her 8 grandchildren, Brendan Davis, Kelsey Wright, Jessica Buckingham, Wynonna Beckwith, Justin Wright, Madison Wright, Jaelyn Wright and Zachary Livermore; her aunts Nancy Northway Plumley of Kansas, OK and Julie Northway of Newport News, VA; her siblings, Patricia Cady of Rome, David Shepard of Arizona and Geraldine Barber of Trenton, NY, and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her parents, several aunts and uncles, her brother James and grandson Robert Wright Jr.

Crystal's family would like to express their gratitude to the nurses and staff of Bethany Gardens for the kindness and compassion that was shown to her.

Graveside services will be held on Friday, September 22, 2023, at Evergreen Cemetery in Lee. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in Crystal's memory to the Alzheimer's Association.
