Jack (Rockwell) Williams

Durhamville/Barneveld

Jack (Rockwell) Williams, 83, of Durhamville and formerly of Barneveld passed away peacefully on Thursday July 3, 2025, at the Eastern Star Home in Oriskany.

He was born on January 31, 1942, in Utica a son of the late Rockwell and Mildred (Zajac) Williams. He was a 1959 Graduate of Holland Patent High School. After High School he served his country with honor in the United States Army from 1960 to 1962. He trained at Fort Dix, Fort Benning and Fort Bragg. He was also trained in Jungle Warfare ending his Army career as a Sergeant in the 82nd Airborne.

Jack worked for many years as a Service Manager at Don's Ford retiring after 30 Plus Years of dedicated service.

In his free time, he enjoyed deer hunting, fishing, and boating. He especially enjoyed doing these activities with his brother Tom. He also enjoyed gardening, playing cards with friends and family and just puttering in his shop.

Jack is survived by his two sons, Dennis (Patti) Williams, and Bradley (Bronwyn) Williams. He leaves his adored grandchildren, Matthew, Christopher, Madison, Cameron and his spouse (Sydney), Kinsey, McKenna and Maddox and his wife (Bella). He leaves his sister Donna Hobin, a sister-in-law, Terralyn Williams, also many nieces and nephews and his significant other Vicky Alexandra. He also leaves his very special friends, Dan and Carol Urtz, Tom and JoAnne Le Faivre, and Fran Joseph. He was predeceased by his brother Tom Williams, his brother-in-law, Irv Hobin and his niece Diane Hobin.

The family would like to offer a very special thank you to Sue Wiggins for making Jack's last few months at the Eastern Star Home bearable, by ordering out for meals, keeping Ice Cream there for him, and allowing him to sleep on her lounge chair. Also a very special thank you to the Eastern Star Home for the wonderful care and compassion given to Jack during his stay there.

Family and friends are invited to attend his Mass of Christian Burial which will be celebrated by the Rev. John Canorro on Friday, July 18, 2025, at 10:00 am at St. Leos & St. Ann Catholic Church in Holland Patent. Interment with Military Honors will follow in Prospect Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to call on Thursday July 17, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Dimbleby Funeral Homes Inc. 40 Main St. Whitesboro.
