LaVerne Walker Obituary
LaVerne was a member of St. Paul's Church and donated her time to the church as an office clerk. She was a loving, wonderful mother who enjoyed being a home maker, gardening and otherwise just enjoying daily life.
LaVerne is survived by two sons, Carl Walker (Marcia) and Daniel Walker; two granddaughters, Joanne Walker and Caitlin (Brenden) Kelly.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Nunn and Harper Funeral Home, Inc., 418 N. George St., Rome NY 13440.

Laverne was my good and true friend. We shared a special bond, having lost our husbands. I'm so sorry to lose her. Spoke with her just a few weeks ago and told her I would be back soon with some halfmoon cookies. She looked and sounded happy. We spoke about her family and how much she loved them. She mentioned that she and Bill loved hm cookies. What a super lady!
