Michael A. Major, Jr.

Michael A. Major, Jr., age 38, of Whitesboro, passed away on Monday, December 22, 2025, in the comfort and dignity of his parent's home, after a courageous 10 year battle with cancer.

He was born in Utica, on May 20, 1987, a son of Michael and Rosanna (Lawler) Major and would go on to attend local schools. Always an entrepreneur at heart, Michael was part of several endeavors locally, co-owning M & M Hydroponics Company with his brother-in-law, Matt and most notably, for his real estate company, the Buy, Sell & Rent Real Estate Brokerage Co.

A loving and devoted son, father and brother, Michael's memory will forever live in the hearts of his dear family.

He is survived by his parents, Rosanna and Michael; daughter, Mariah; son, Mason; sisters, Latasha "Tasha" (Matthew) Roman, Maria Major and Alyssa Myers; grandmother, Mary Major; and he will always be remembered fondly by Mary Rabideau.

Michael was predeceased by his brother, Ambrose Smith; and his grandparents, Arthur (Linda) Lawler.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend visitation on Friday, from 5-7 p.m., at the Scala, Roefaro & Karboski Funeral Home, 1122 Culver Ave., Utica.

In true giving fashion, Michael will donate his body to science in hopes that this selfless act will help others.
