January 14, 1938 ~ March 15, 2026
Roberta "Bobbi" J. Farfaglia O'Hara, 88, of Camden, passed away on March 15, 2026.
Bobbi was born on January 14, 1938, in Canastota, the daughter of Adelio ("Dillie") and Barbara Malfitano Farfaglia. She graduated from Canastota High School in 1955 and continued her education at Eastman Dental School, earning her degree as a dental hygienist. Her first position took her to Camden Central Schools, where she served as the school hygienist and met William ("Bill") O'Hara. Bobbi and Bill were married on June 23, 1962, beginning a loving partnership and family that continued to grow over the next 63 years. After raising their four sons, Bobbi returned to work as Director of the Senior Citizens Nutritional Luncheon at Camden Presbyterian Church. She later worked, as a teaching assistant, at Camden Middle School, retiring in 1994.
Bobbi and Bill enjoyed many happy years of retirement traveling the world. Planning their next adventure was always a joy. She was especially proud of her Sicilian heritage and one of her most cherished experiences was spending a month traveling through Sicily and connecting with relatives along the way.
Family was at the center of Bobbi's life. Gatherings in the O'Hara and Farfaglia families were filled with delicious food, laughter and celebration. Her homemade sauce was legendary - something every good Italian son knew to praise if they hoped to enjoy it again. Holidays were especially dear to her, bringing together both immediate and extended family.
Bobbi was a devoted member of St. John's Catholic Church, where she attended faithfully and served in various roles. Her deep faith and trust in God were evident throughout her life.
She enjoyed many hobbies, including golf, bowling and singing. She loved attending her sons' and grandchildren's games and activities. One constant throughout her life was her love of bridge and she treasured the friendships and time spent around the card table.
Bobbi is survived by her loving husband, Bill; sons, Michael (Jodi), Patrick (Barb), David (Darlene) and Richard; eight grandchildren, Ryan (Melissa), Kailee (Brandon), Camen, Micaiah (Michael), Conor, Creah, Zane and Jillian; five great-grandchildren, with one more expected soon; sister, MaryAnn (Clifford) Miller; brother, Ronald Farfaglia (Josette); sisters-in-law, S. Diane ("Didy") Phillips, Doris O'Hara and Donna O'Hara; brother-in-law, Charles O'Hara; and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her parents; father- and mother-in-law, Dr. Edward and Marion O'Hara; and brothers-in-law, Daniel O'Hara, John O'Hara and Robert Phillips.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated, at 11 a.m., on Wednesday, March 25, 2026, from St. John the Evangelist Rome Catholic Church, 35 Third St., Camden. Interment will be in St. John's Cemetery, Camden.
