Wayne E. Schaller Jr.

Wayne E. Schaller, Jr., 44, of Rome, passed away on Tuesday, November 18, 2025, at the SUNY Upstate Cancer Center in Syracuse. He was born in Rome on December 3, 1980, a son of Wayne and Ada (Hernandez) Schaller, Sr. He was a graduate of Rome Free Academy.

Wayne was a devoted Buffalo Bills fan, he never missed a game and wore his team colors with pride. He had a lifelong passion for WWE, especially his all-time favorite, Hulk Hogan. Wayne also loved the roar of monster trucks and the thrill of collecting baseball cards.

One of his greatest joys was the annual fishing trip on Lake Ontario with his family. Those days on the water-sharing stories, reeling in fish, and enjoying time together---created memories his loved ones will hold close forever.

Wayne is survived by his parents, Wayne Sr. and Ada; three sisters, Dawn Raymond (Robert), Bonita Oliver (James), and Mary Schaller (Dante); eight nieces and nephews, and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Family and friends are invited to call at Nunn and Harper Funeral Home, Inc. 418 N. George St., Rome NY 13440, on Monday, November 24th from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. A Graveside service will be held at 1:30 p.m. at Stanwix Cemetery, Rt. 69 in Rome.
