Ann Cross Obituary
ROCKFORD- Ann Helen Cross, age 90, life long resident of Rockford passed away peacefully with her family by her side, Thursday June 15, 2017. Born in Rockford on June 19, 1926 to Nello & Maria Lazzerini (Piantini). Devoted wife, mother, grandmother and sister, she will remain in our hearts forever.
She is survived by children, Steven Cross, Jacalyn (Jim) Russell and John Cross; grandchildren, Josh (Shelby), Ashley (Gonzalo), Ryan (Samantha), Jennifer, Jason (Jessica) and Julie (Shane); 8 great-grandchildren; brother, Fred (Bonnie) Lazzerini; dear friend, Doris Herbert; as well as numerous nieces & nephews and cousins. She is predeceased by her husband of 49 years, Jack Cross; brother, Erminio (Theresa) Lazzerini; sister, Margaret (Noto) Marchini; and her parents.
Memorial Mass of Christian Burial to be held Monday June 26, 2017 at 10:30 AM at Holy Family Catholic Church, 4401 Highcrest Road, with visitation from 9:30 AM until the time of Mass at 10:30 AM. Cremation rites accorded. Interment at Scandinavian Cemetery. Christenson Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family. The family would like to send a special Thanks to Dr. Kahn and the nurses & staff at OSF St. Anthony Hospital for their exceptional care for Ann.
