ARLENE R. WILLIAMS, 75
ROCKFORD - Arlene R. Williams, 75, of Rockford died at 4:10 a.m. Friday, June 18, 2010, in Neighbors Rehabilitation Center in Byron. Born May 16, 1935, in Rockford, the daughter of Edward and Laura Stein Doyle. Graduated from East High School. Married Jack W. Williams on Aug. 16, 1953, in Rockford. Retired in 1993 as the executive secretary for the finance department of the city of Rockford. Member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church. Arlene was a talented woman of many interests. She played the piano, loved shopping, the gambling boat and her computer. She was a former league bowler, enjoyed playing cards with her friends and loved the fishing trips to Minnesota as well as swimming and flower gardening. She had a special passion for bingo, but her family, especially her grandchildren, were always the most important things in her life. Survivors include her son, John (Amy) Williams; daughter, Kim (Todd) Baldwin; grandchildren, Haley, Madalyn, Cameryn, Gavin and Grace; brother, Larry (Barbara) Doyle; and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her husband, Jack, on June 16, 1994; and her brother, LaVerne Doyle. Arlene's family would like to give a special thank-you to the staff of Neighbors Rehabilitation Center and the staff of OSF Saint Anthony Medical Center and Hospice Care of America. Memorials may be made to the family.

Service at 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 22, in Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory, Mulford Chapel, 1860 S. Mulford Road, with visitation from 10 a.m. to service time; the Rev. William Dahlberg of Salem Lutheran Church will officiate. Burial in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Extend condolences and share memories at www.fitzgeraldfh.com.
