BARBARA ANN ANDERSON, 81 BELOVED MOTHER AND GRANDMOTHER MACHESNEY PARK - Barbara Ann Anderson, 81, of Machesney Park passed away Saturday, Aug. 18, 2012, at home, surrounded by her family. Born May 26, 1931, in Pawtucket, R.I., daughter of John Henry and Hannah L. (Diffenderfer) Jamison, Sr. Graduated from East High School, Class of 1948. Married Harvey LeRoy Anderson on Feb. 9, 1952, in Rockford. Employed by Dr. Anthony J. Daly for five years, Lenz Pharmacy for 17 years and by Fincham Industrial for five years, retiring in 1993. Member of Central Christian Church, where she was involved with many activities. Barb enjoyed swimming, camping and crafts; she made her own greeting cards. She was an avid gardener and a Girl Scout leader for several years. Survivors include children, Marcie (Bill) Oakes of Janesville, Wis., Mark (Rosey) Anderson of Pecatonica, Kim (Dan) Messinger of Waconia, Minn., Kelley (Dave) Jordan of Littleton, Colo., and Norris (Karla) Anderson of Loves Park; 11 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and special friend, Joyce Shultz. Predeceased by parents; husband, Harvey on Aug. 19, 1994; sister, Louise Brune; and brother, John "Jack" Jamison, Jr. Special thank you to Hospice Care of America and her caregivers. Service will be at 11 a.m., Wednesday, Aug. 22, at Central Christian Church, 6595 Guilford Road, Rockford; Sherm Nichols will officiate. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 21, at Delehanty Funeral Home Ltd., 401 River Lane. In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be established.
