Barbara Davison Obituary
Barbara Louise (Bourkland) Davison, 89, of Rockford, Illinois, died peacefully on October 25, 2018, at Saint Anne Presence Center in Rockford. Born in Rockford on February 7, 1929, she worked as a cartographer, then as an urban planner. At her retirement she received a key to the city from the Mayor of Rockford. She was a longtime member of St. Anskar's Church, where she served on the altar guild and the vestry. She is survived by her three children, Mark Davison of Avernes, France, Sally Turner of Rockford, and Scott Davison of Freeport, Illinois; by her brothers, Hugh Bourkland (Dianne) of Loves Park, Illinois, Quentin Bourkland (Nancy) of Nampa, Idaho, and Ken Bourkland of Saint Charles, Illinois; and by five grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
A memorial service will be held on November 3, 2018, at 11 a.m., at St. Anskar's Church, 4801 Spring Creek Rd, Rockford, Illinois. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Anskar's.
