Barbara Engstrom Obituary
ENGSTROM, Barbara Louise (Johnson) – of Davison, MI, age 82, passed away on Saturday, December 26, 2020. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held on a later date.
Barbara Johnson was born in Rockford, IL on May 14, 1938, daughter of William and Hazelle Johnson. She married Donald Engstrom on October 23, 1965 and he preceded her in death on June 6, 2011. Barb loved children, so much that she dedicated her life to caring for them by working for the Rockford School District in the food service program. She also taught Sunday School for many years at Trinity Lutheran Church in Rockford, IL. Barb enjoyed playing Bunco with her friends. Her greatest love was for her family. She enjoyed traveling and taking day trips to the casino with her husband. Barb thoroughly enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She always had a smile to share and those smiles will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Barbara is survived by her daughter, Linda (Charles) Pike; step-daughter, Ruth (Barry) Roschlau; step-sons, Ron (Karen) Engstrom and Randy Engstrom; seven grandchildren, Natalie and Emily Pike, Ange (Michael) Hennegan, Michael (Michele) Busky, Jacque (Kris) Cabrera, Eric Engstrom, Racin (Devyn) Rowe; nine great-grandchildren; many other loving nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Hazelle; husband, Donald Engstrom; one sister, JoAn (Don) Norton; three brothers, Bill, Jim and Grant Johnson.

Aunt Barbara was the baby of the family full of love and laughter. She was always interested and caring about everyone. She also could tell wonderful stories about our family and spread joy and love. She will be dearly missed, but her smile and goodness will carry on in our hearts. She was a blessing to us all. Love, Jackie Johnson Benedict
