Barbara Vogl Obituary
Barbara Jean Vogl (Wahlstrom), age 85, of Rockford passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on Saturday November 5, 2016. Born in Rockford on February 13, 1931 to Leonard & Elvera Wahlstrom (Nordin). Barb graduated from Lake Forest College in 1952 and was a member of the Alpha Xi Delta Sorority. She worked as a teacher and substitute teacher for Rockford Public Schools for many years and was a proud member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church. Beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister and dear friend, she will remain in our hearts forever. She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Edwin G. Vogl; sons, David (Lynn) and Robert (Leda); grandchildren, Keith (Emily), Michelle and Laura; great granddaughter, Layla; brother, Keith (JoAnn) Wahlstrom. She is predeceased by her parents.
Funeral services to be held on Wednesday November 9, 2016 at 11 a.m. at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, 920 3rd Ave. Visitation from 10 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m. Christenson Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements.
