We celebrate the life of Barbara Joyce (Barb) Williams who passed away peacefully on June 13, 2017 at Presence Cor Mariae Center in Rockford, Il. Barb was born in Rockford, IL. Oct. 24, 1928, to Luander and Olga (Johnson) Barrett. Barb is survived by, children, Terry L. (Marilynn), Gerald W. (Laraine) Williams; grandsons Matthew and Corey Williams; granddaughters Valorie (Dino) Corsolini ,Amy (Rob) Jacobson, Erin Ashleigh (Don) Smith; great-grandchildren, Maggie Jacobson, Douglas Smith; sister, Francis Ziemendorf ; brother-in-law, Donald Williams; sister-in-law Ledora Williams; son-in-law, Pete Keith. Predeceased by parents; her beloved husband of 68 years Robert John (Bob) Williams; daughter, Verna Jean Keith; four, older sisters. She has now joined her family members and all the other saints that have gone before. Barb was a lifelong resident of Rockford. She attended Rock River Elementary School and Rockford East High School, graduating in 1946. Go E-Rabs! Barb was active with her husband in several Rockford churches over the years. Bethlehem Lutheran on Brooke Road where she met and married Bob, Bethlehem Lutheran on 20th Street, recently Brooke Road United Methodist Church. Barb always believed in the stewardship of time and treasures and she often personally provided assistance to other needy families. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the family for the Church and OSF Hospice. Memorial Service: 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 27, at Brooke Rd. United Methodist Church 1404 Brooke Rd.
