Betty Ann Almond 1932—2017
Betty Ann Almond, 85, loving mother, grandma and great-grandma, of Rockford died Saturday, December 2, 2017, in hospice care after a long struggle with congestive heart failure and emphysema. Betty was born January 28, 1932, in Rockford, the daughter of Clarence W. Castle and Garnett E. (Atkins) Castle. She married Charles A. Almond April 1, 1950, and graduated from Rockford East High School in June 1950. Betty was a homemaker most of her life. She is survived by daughter, Bonnie (Dan) Lemmons; sons, Jeff (Lisa) Almond, Rory Almond, Rick (Michelle) Almond; 9 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her husband, Charles; grandson, Jake Almond and granddaughter, Cori Almond. Thanks to the staff at Heritage Woods in Rockford for your kind and patient care.
Funeral Service at 11:30am with Visitation from 10:30 to 11:30am on Thursday, December 7, in Honquest Family Funeral Home with Crematory, 4311 N. Mulford Road, Loves Park. Private burial to follow.
