CAMILLA 'CAM' L. WILBURN, 80 LOVING MOTHER, GRANDMOTHER AND SISTER ROCKFORD - Camilla "Cam" L. Wilburn, 80, of Rockford passed away Thursday, May 7, 2015, in her home. Born Oct. 9, 1934, in Rockford, the daughter of Eskell and Pearl (Shaw) Carlson. Graduated from East High School, Class of 1952. She was one of the first teachers for Rockford Christian and retired from Harlem School District. Cam was active at Maywood and Stonebridge Churches. She was an avid quilter, an Election Judge and member of Guilford Gleaners. Survivors include son, Matthew Wilburn; grandchildren, Ashlyn, Lauren, Bethany and Isabella; sister, Kathy (Harlan) Lutzow; sister-in-law, Diane Carlson; numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents; and brother, Steve Carlson. Service at 2:30 p.m. Monday, May 11, in Delehanty Funeral Home, Ltd., 401 River Lane, Loves Park, with visitation from 1:30 p.m. to service time. Burial in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Sorry to hear about Cam's passing. Even though I only saw her once a year at tax time, her humor and personality always lit up the room. She always kept me up to date on her son and his family.

I am going to miss Cam's prayers more than anything. She was a great prayer warrior and often concerned for what others were going thru. More than anything she loved her grandchildren and Matt. They were the light of her life. Her prayers will be a loss to all who knew her.
