I am deeply saddend to hear of the passing of a great and wonderful man that I had the honor, privalege, and blessing of knowing since 7th grade! Carl was and still is in my heart that wonderful and great friend! I will always remember and cheerish those wonderful memories from 7th grade, high school, I was already living in San Diego when he was stationed their in the navy, and when I would come back to Illinois for a visit I and my family would make a point of driving to Moline to see him and Max(you were only a puppy then). I wish I came back more often. Carl I will and my family will miss you terribly but we will continue to hold on to those wonderful memories. To Mom and Pop( that's what I always remember Carl calling you) and the rest of your wonderful family, when Carl and I would talk he would always fill me in on all of you! He loved and adored all of you so much! I am truely sorry for your loss! He will be forever in our hearts and memories!!

I was sadden to hear about the passing of Carl, I knew Carl since JR. high at Kennedy, then we went to school at West together. He was a guy of few words, always quiet but he was always nice to me and had the sweetest smile for me. Junior high(I rem he was on the swim team, great swimmer!) was not my greatest years as kids were kind of mean ten and I always kids that picked on me then but not Carl he was always kind to me and never said anything unkind. Then in senior High I rem. himas a great football player, and then I was probably a pest o him cause I kinda had a secret crush on him(well now everyone knows) anyway i think there were times I probably got on his nerves but he never said so and he was still nice to me(other guys in the past, said things to hurt me when they knew I liked them) but I am Carl knew but he was not mean to me, he still was very nice to me. Not long ago when i first got facebook he was one of the names I looked up but never could find him on here , and was a little disappointed I just always wondered what happend to him or what he was doing now and that is the point I am trying to make I look back at the people I use to know in school and some I even have on my facebook but I can say I barely rem. them or have vivid memories but Carl was the kind of person I do rem. and always will because he was that wonderful kind of person and he was that kind of person you rem . the one that made that lasting inpression. I love you Carl, and I will never forget yo and your kindness, may you rest in peace!

My sincerest condolences go out to the entire Saieva family. I was granted the opportunity meet this special person during our massage training. We were not only fellow students but became friends during this adventure. Carl was truly a one of a kind man, with a great sense of humor to boot. He was the type of man that cared for others well being far above his own. His spirit & energy will truly be missed. I am saddened at this loss, but I shall celebrate his life with smiles and laughter as I remember this unique friend of mine! I will never forget you buddy.

Until we meet again!

Carl was my student at Rock Valley College. He was a likable guy with a personality that could bring a smile to even the saddest of faces. Being a humanitarian and a man of compassion, he never quit caring about other people and their needs. It was a pleasure to have met and known him and while many are saddened today to hear of his passing, I can't help but smile when I remember the life he brought with him into the classroom. I am so very sorry for the loss of the unique and special human being named Carl Saieva.
