CAROLYN L. COUNTRYMAN, 82 ROCKFORD - Carolyn L. Countryman, 82, of Rockford, IL went to be with her Lord and Savoir at 10:15 p.m. Thursday, March 14, 2013, in Fairhaven Health Center, surrounded by her family. Born April 14, 1930, in Rockford, IL, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Leslie C. and Martha V. (Kullberg) Lofdahl. She graduated from East High School and attended Augastana College and Wheaton College. Married to Duane W. Countryman in Rockford, IL, on February 23, 1951. She worked at Fairhaven Health Center for over 20 years. She is a lifetime member of First Evangelical Free Church where she taught Sunday school, sang in the choir and served on many committees. Member of Virginia Circle; former member of Mendleson Club. She also played piano at Fairhaven Health Center and various other church events. The family wished to extend a heartfelt thank you to the 3rd floor Health Care staff for their loving, tender and compassionate care given to Mom. Survivors include Charles (Peggy) Countryman of Rockford, Curtis (Kathleen) Countryman of Davis Junction, Duane William (Ladonna) Countryman, Jr. of Mount Morris, Dale (Ruth) Countryman of Rockton, Richard (Debra) Countryman of Lincoln, Nebraska. Grandchildren Kimberley (Daniel) DalCollo, Brian, Kevin, Bradley, and Keith Countryman, Andrea (Jamy) Antoine, Aaron (Heather) Countryman, Mary (David) Cofer, Martha and Mark Countryman, Duane William (April) Countryman III, Deanna (Harvey) Kosowski, Jordan, Jacob and Zachary Countryman. 19 great-grandchildren and 2 great- great-grandchildren. Sister, Marlene (David) Larson of Rockford, IL, two special nephews, Steve and Bob. Uncle, Dr. Stanley W. Olson of Rockford, IL.; brother-in- laws, Kenneth L. Countryman of Pecatonica, IL, Ronald (Alyce) Countryman of Greenville, SC, sister-in- law, Charlene (David) Reckless, Pittsburgh, PA, and several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by parents, one grandson, one great-grandson, sister-in-law, Sandra Countryman, one niece. Funeral ceremony to be held at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday. March 19, 2013, in Fairhaven Health Center, 3470 N. Alpine Rd., Rockford, IL. Burial will be in Willwood Burial Park. A visitation will be held at Fairhaven from 10:30 a.m. until time of funeral Tuesday. A memorial is being established.
