DOLORES 'DEE' M. COOPER, 82 ROCKFORD - Dolores "Dee" M. Cooper, 82 years old, died peacefully in her home on October 8, 2015, surrounded by loved ones. Survived by her loving husband of 61 years, James (Jim) B. Cooper. Dee and Jim danced their way through life, with more love in their eyes every day that passed. She was also survived by her daughters, Cynthia J. Cooper and Lori D. Cooper, and there was never a day that went by where they did not know how special they were to their mother. Dee was also blessed with her grandchildren, Stacy Buerger, Heidi McCullough, Lindsay Donnewald, and Riley Donnewald, as well as her great-grandchildren, Caitlyn, Phouvieng, Erek, Miya, SaengDuane, Leilynn, Shayne, Raychael, Jaycen, and Brady. Aside from being a wonderful woman to so many, she also devoted 37 years of her life to researching her family's genealogy, putting together some very creative and detailed genealogy books for her family. With her creativity came the projects and painting that gave her so much joy, not to mention her elegant script hand writing. Even with her many talents and wonderful accomplishments, there is one passion she has always had that her family will be forever grateful for; she loved to capture every moment. With camera in hand she would never hesitate to photograph the memories that will forever be instilled within the hearts of those that loved her so. Dolores was a 1950 graduate of East High School and longtime member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church. She was employed with SwedishAmerican Hospital as a unit clerk for several years. Predeceased by her parents, John J. Skadoski and Julia C. Zakrzewski; and brother, John R. Skadoski. Service will be held at noon, Tuesday, October 13, 2015, in Our Savior's Lutheran Church, 3300 Rural St., Rockford, with Rev. Jeff Fricke officiating. Burial in Scandinavian Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10 to 11:45 a.m. prior to the service in the church. Please join us in remembering Dee Cooper and the beautiful life she lived.
