DONALD E. HANSON, 72 LOVING HUSBAND, FATHER AND GRANDFATHER ROCKFORD - Donald E. Hanson, 72, of Rockford died Wednesday, Jan. 9, 2008, in Rockford Memorial Hospital. Born Jan. 23, 1935, in Rockford. Donald retired from Muntz Electrical Supply Company after 43 years of employment. Survivors include wife, Margaret; son, Robert Hanson of Rockford; daughter, Linda (Roger) Carlson of Belvidere; grandchildren, Amy Carlson of Chicago, Mark (fianc‚e, Sara) of New York City and Randy Carlson of Scottsdale, Ariz. Service at 2 p.m. Monday, Jan. 14, in Sunset Funeral Home, 8800 N. Alpine Road, with visitation from 1 p.m. to time of service; the Rev. Dr. William Richard Kerr Sr. will officiate. Entombment in Sunset Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.

Aunt Marg, Bob, Linda, and Family-
Just learned of the loss of Uncle Don. My condolences to you all. I will always remember Don as part of the "kitchen crew" - hanging out at parties in Grandma Nell's kitchen trying to out-joke Char and Joe, while we, the cousins, hung out on the stairs. Good times.
