Donald A. Koeshall 1934—2021
Donald A Koeshall, 86, of Crystal Lake IL formerly of Rockton, IL passed away Monday January 19, 2021 at 8:20 am at JourneyCare Center in Barrington, IL. He was born on April 12, 1934 in Wood County, WI the son of Alvin and Grace (LaRock) Koeshall.
Donald graduated from Lincoln High School in 1953 and entered the Army in 1954, where he served in Army Intelligence stationed in East Berlin. After his discharge from the Army, he moved to Chicago where he met Diane Moore. They were married on April 22, 1961 in Lombard IL.
Don worked for American National Can starting in 1961 and retired in 1996 with 35 years of service. Don and Diane's fondest memories were their summers they spent in Eagle River, WI with friends and family. Don was also a Mason for many years at the Morning Star Lodge #10 F&AM in Beloit.
He is survived by his son Michael (Elizabeth) Koeshall of Johnsburg, IL; grandson Sean Koeshall of Johnsburg, IL; 3 brothers Jim (Shirley) Koeshall, Bob (Carol) Koeshall of Wisconsin Rapids, WI and Dick (Pam) Koeshall of Pittsville, WI; 2 sisters Judy Fajnor and Cindy Turbin of Wisconsin Rapids, WI.
He was preceded in death by his wife Diane on December 29th 2017; his father Alvin Koeshall and his mother Grace Zinda, his sister Peggy Koeshall and his brothers, Dale and Jerry.
A Masonic service will be presented by Morning Star Lodge #10 on Saturday, April 24, 2021 from 10:45 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at McCorkle Funeral Home- Rockton Chapel; 767 N Blackhawk Blvd., Rockton, IL with a Memorial Service directly following with Pastor Dan Herman officiating. A visitation following COVID-19 requirements of social distancing and wearing of face masks will be held from 10:00 a.m. until services begin at the funeral home.
Final resting place will be at Pinnacle Hill Cemetery, Roscoe, IL. Cremation Rites have been Accorded.
